Bliss socks.jpg

Now it might sound strange to heap such a large amount of praise on one item but THESE ARE THE BEST SOCKS IN THE WORLD! I already follow the tried and tested method of slathering my feet in lotion, popping on socks and going to sleep, but I’ve never experienced such amazing instant results as I have with these treasures.

You’re supposed to put them on for around 20 minutes daily, but I’ve slept overnight with these, and with a slight side effect of sweaty squidgy feet, I woke up to feet that were incredibly soft and smooth

hair holster.jpg

I know this particular belt isn’t aimed at you and me (consumers) but at salon professionals, but it makes me giggle. I can imagine hairdressers strutting around John Wayne style with their straighteners peeking out of their pockets, pretending they’re weapons of mass destruction. It’s £49.99 from Corioliss and comes in three colours, red, green, and a fetching red leopard print. They’re hand made and 100% leather, and will hold at leas six pairs of scissors plus all your heated appliances.

Jasmin Purse Spray 1.jpg

Now I’m a really big Philip Pullman fan, having read his trilogy long before the name Nicole Kidman was ever mentioned, so when I saw this lovely looking perfume spray I immediately saw the resemblance. I’m sure you’ll see it as well, with the Golden Compass style refillable purse spray being a unique gift for any fan, Pullman or otherwise. It comes with refills in Jasmine, Neroli or Myrtle, and would look uber chic in your handbag or on your dresser. You’ll be able to get it from the 30th October

amandaseyfried.jpg

Mean Girls’ Amanda Seyfried’s star status is about to go stellar as she hits our screens in the movie version of hit Abba musical ‘Mamma Mia’. She currently on the promo trail for the flick and attended the London premiere looking gorgeous in green. As you can see on the right, for film itself - which is set on a Greek island - Amanda was tanned to the max. However, she gets the thumbs up from Kiss and Makeup for embracing her naturally pale skin at the premiere. It’s so good to see a young Hollywood starlet who’s not addicted to the fake tan. I’m also loving those coral/pink lips, subtle eyes and soft blown-out waves. She’s a walking advertisement for the phrase ‘less is more’

anna sui no makeup makeupand brows.jpg

If model of the moment Agyness Deyn is heading down the catwalk in minimal makeup, then it’s a trend we’re pretty sure is going to catch on. I love how there skin looks dewy and natural with nude lips and a faint flush to the cheeks. Eyes are bare of liner and there’s no mascara visible (but I suspect she used clear to lengthen the lashes). What’s noticeable about this look is the defined brows the models have, especially Agyness. There’s something so fresh about this look, though it takes quite a lot of effort to look this natural! It’s all about blending and concealing, and base is very important. Make sure your brows are groomed, as a stray hair could ruin your no makeup makeup.
